Connected in three steps
The connection runs through our own connector plugin. No passwords or admin accounts are ever shared.

Install the connector plugin
Install our plugin on the WordPress site you want to connect. It only adds a locked-down REST namespace and changes nothing else about the site.

Paste the connection key into Sentro
The plugin generates a key pair. Paste the public key along with the site URL into Sentro, and the connection is tested straight away.

Manage the site centrally
From then on Sentro reads the site's status and runs updates, backups and checks. No passwords are shared and no extra admin account is created.
Sentro reaches out to the site, never the other way round
The connection is designed to share as little access as possible. Here is exactly how that works.
A dedicated key pair per site
Every connection gets its own key pair. Disconnect a site and that key stops working immediately, while the rest of your sites keep running.
Signed requests
Every request is signed with HMAC-SHA256 over the method, path, a timestamp and a nonce. Expired or replayed requests are rejected.
Traffic runs one way
Sentro calls the site. The site never needs to open an outbound connection and never sends data on its own initiative.
Stored in the EU
The database and backup metadata are hosted with a European provider. Site files stay on the site's own hosting.
The dashboard is not a WordPress site
Where the hub runs matters as much as what it does. Sentro is a separate application, not a plugin inside another WordPress install.

No second WordPress to protect
A dashboard built as a WordPress plugin holds the keys to every client site inside a WordPress admin: a public login page, a plugin ecosystem around it, and an update cycle of its own. Our hub is a separate application with its own database, so that surface does not exist.
Keys are encrypted and never shown
Each site has its own signing secret, stored encrypted and readable by no one — not by team members, not by us. A site owner can revoke or rotate the key from their own WordPress admin at any time.
Signed requests, one direction only
The hub calls the site; the site never calls back. Every request is signed with HMAC, carries a one-time value against replay, and is rate limited. The connector only accepts what is signed with that site’s own secret, and the site owner decides per site what is allowed: updates, plugin state, backups, scans.
Speed is a security property too
Because the hub is not running inside WordPress, checking a hundred sites does not depend on a PHP admin page. Monitoring keeps running, so problems surface when they happen instead of when someone opens a slow page.
This reduces the attack surface, it does not remove it. The connector’s permissions and the visible audit trail exist so a site owner can verify what happened.
